FALL WEDDING PORTRAITS IN OLD TOWN ALEXANDRIA, VA | MARIAN + ARTHUR
Every now and then you meet two clients who are just so darn fun to be around, you completely forget you’re taking photos of them for your job. Marian and Arthur were exactly those clients, but first let’s talk about how I even had the privilege of meeting them! I actually went to high school with Arthur’s son… Arthur! Arthur (the younger one) and I ended up staying in touch through the years and he officiated my own wedding a year and a half ago. I also ended up making friends with Arthur’s badass wife, Micah, at my wedding who’s blog pictures I took a few weeks ago! Marian saw Micah’s photos and the rest is history!
Marian and Arthur had recently been married after being together for TEN (!!!) years and wanted some professional pictures taken in their wedding attire in Old Town. We all know I’m a giant sucker for Old Town so there was absolutely no arm twisting required to get me out there! Marian and Arthur were just SO MUCH FUN to be around. Not only that, but they were so attentive to each other and incredibly easy to work with. We started the day on the beautiful cobblestones of Prince Street and spent the next hour strolling down to the water and ended at the jaw-dropping Wilkes Street Tunnel. It should be noted that Marian soldiered on IN HEELS the entire time. RESPECT.
And can we all take a moment to collectively fawn over Marian’s custom made Lofty Frocks wedding gown? STUNNING. It, and she, literally stopped traffic several times!
